Originally from the Netherlands I came to Canada almost 19 years ago, the movers made fun of me, most moving boxes were marked as ‘Crafts’. Besides knitting, crochet I started making figurines of Fimo clay about 30 years ago and started to sell on crafts sales. Then one rainy vacation I bought a bear magazine, got some fur and started making bears. All my bears are completely handmade, jointed and made from mohair or viscose. They are filled with wool. Beside the bears I make figurines of fabric, clay or needlefelted.
The show I enjoy the most is when my creations make people smile, ask a lot of questions and walk away happy with one of my creations.
